Lyden Lab

The Lyden laboratory studies how primary tumor-secreted extracellular vesicles and particles (EVPs) orchestrate the systemic effects of cancer: pre-metastatic niche formation, metastatic organotropism, vascular, immune and metabolic dysfunction. We are a large group of basic, translational and clinical scientists. The Lyden team has published paradigm shifting studies in NatureNature MedicineNature Cell Biology and Cell that have furthered our understanding of the metastatic process. We are committed to mentoring the next generation of cancer researchers and clinician scientists with the ultimate goal of improving cancer patient treatments and outcomes.

Our  research is aimed at understanding metastasis, the process through which cancer spreads beyond the primary tumor to distant organs.

The Lab Team

The Lyden Lab welcomes talented trainees and fosters an interdisciplinary approach in its attempts to translate fundamental scientific discoveries into clinical innovations.
